What attracted you to join and remain in Axess?

The possibility of working with and furthering my education in welding technology. Working here allows me to simultaneously pursue my studies towards becoming an International Welding Engineer (IWE). As a certified welder with a great interest in welding technology, I enjoy the diverse tasks, interactions with colleagues and customers, and helping people with welding issues.

What does your role entail?

I have the opportunity to work both in the office and out in the field, which is beneficial for gaining a well-rounded understanding of welding. My daily tasks include certifying welders and following up on welding procedures qualifications on behalf of DNV, supporting Project Managers by providing welding technical and other material testing services.

I am also a welding inspector and a certified level 2 non-destructive examiner in Dye Penetrant Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing. I conduct these examinations in the field as a part of NDT inspections provided by the Quality Control (QC) department to which I belong.

Continuous improvement is a big part of the culture. We are motivated to broaden our knowledge and learn new things.

What do you like about the culture in Axess?

Continuous improvement is a big part of the culture. We are motivated to broaden our knowledge and learn new things. I am grateful for the support provided to further my education. I hope that we will continue to be encouraged to expand and deepen our expertise in our respective subject areas, enabling us to tackle even more exciting tasks.

There is also a collaborative and supportive environment here. My colleagues in the QC department are all very helpful and knowledgeable. If there is an issue we do not know how to solve, we work together to find the solution and share our findings. They are great people who made me feel welcome and part of the team since day one.
