Axess has successfully completed services for Egersund Windfarm. The scope of work comprised of maintenance and cleaning services using a variety of methods such as rope access.
Axess personnel were deployed to address the issues of each turbine and successfully carried out the necessary work required—thereby maximising renewable energy production.
Eirik Nøtsund, Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy at Axess, commented: “Maintenance and integrity work is key to preventing the wind turbines from developing structural damage as they operate in extreme weather conditions. Axess aim to contribute to optimal operations, reduce maintenance costs and minimise downtime.”
The onshore wind power plant consists of 33 turbines and is operated by Norsk Vind Energi and Senvion. With a capacity to generate 111.2MW of clean energy, the facility manifests Norway’s climate goals of reducing carbon emissions by 40% by 2030.
