Axess Group completes DROPS inspection on two land drilling rigs

Our team from Singapore has successfully carried out a dropped objects prevention scheme (DROPS) audit and inspection on two land drilling rigs in Papua New Guinea. Our client, an international rig operator, commended our team for a safe and efficient job execution.

The scope of work included planning, assessment of the client’s DROPS procedures, DROPS inspection, verification of secondary retention and gap analysis. All areas of non-conformance were reported to the client, which included a detailed closing recommendation and corrective actions.

DROPS management system and inspection program is a systematic approach to prevent dropped objects. Axess Group’s DROPS portfolio--design and verification, baseline surveys, 3rd party inspection, training and barrier management--allows rig owners and operators to strategically prevent falling objects and prevent injuries to personnel and damage to assets.
