Axess Offshore Africa provided a team to support a multinational FPSO operator to change out one of their vessel’s control umbilical, in preparation for their field expansion project offshore West Africa.
Using a combination of rope access and suspended netting platforms to access the work site, the task was completed quickly and safely without the need for heavy and complex scaffolding. Other work scopes included cold cutting, pipe fitting, bolt torqueing, rigging, and lifting which utilised our multi-skilled nature.
“Leveraging the Axess’ global network, allowed for client meetings in Africa and North America, ensuring that the client’s global project team were always kept up to speed on the project as well as saving travel costs and time,” said Maarten Turkstra, Managing Director of Axess Offshore Africa.
“This has been yet another great accomplishment from the Axess team, ensuring maximum uptime and zero harm for our client’s operations,” Turkstra added.
