Alpa AS has won successive large contracts for the delivery of Alpa winches to key offshore installations located in the Norwegian and the UK Continental Shelf.

The double secured winches were designed in close cooperation with the client. The design, which allows lifting over live processing plants without the need of a shut down, is based on previously delivered winches. This demonstrates that Alpa’s solutions enhance overall value to the client. The unique design increases lifting efficiency, adheres to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations on critical drilling and well operations, and significantly reduces project costs whilst maximising uptime.

One of the clients, an offshore operator in Norway, said “Alpa’s capacities and problem-solving culture are impressive. … (having a) partner that delivers the highest quality standards in a timely manner is critical in these market conditions.”
