Axess Group has been chosen as supplier for a nearly 1 billion NOK (110 million USD) frame agreement by Equinor to provide in-service inspection services on their offshore installations on the Norwegian continental shelf, effective from 1st of January 2020. The agreement is planned to be signed shortly and has a fixed duration of six years and two four-year options.
As part of Equinor’s long-term plan to leverage technology in achieving improved performance and increased safety operation, the services will ensure that the oil and gas installations are fit-for-purpose, safe, reliable, and efficient.
Axess has been chosen as main supplier for the Gullfaks (A, B, C), Troll (A, B, C), Kvitebjørn, Visund, Grane and Valemon platforms.
Knut Stefanussen, Chief Commercial Officer of Axess Group, said: “We are very pleased to increase our business significantly compared to what we previously held in this field with Equinor. The award of 10 offshore facilities to Axess is a testimony of our capabilities and we are proud of the trust given by Equinor and their partners.”
According to Department Director for In-service Inspection in Axess Group, David Nygård, “This contract is a great opportunity to expand our services and continue our cooperation with Equinor.
