Axess Group has entered a significant frame agreement with the Norwegian counties Trøndelag and Møre & Romsdal to provide Remotely Piloted Aerial System (RPAS) services for bridges and road constructions in these regions in Norway.
The four-year contract (2+1+1) will see Axess conduct planning, drone operations and data acquisition on infrastructures related to the national road and railway system. Axess’ QC department will manage the project from our Orkanger office.
The two counties are responsible for more than 2200 bridges where an increased number of bridges are being inspected via aerial solutions. This technology is a cost-effective way to achieve a high level of structural integrity.
Kristian Nelvik, Business Development Manager at Axess QC, commented: “We are very pleased that our investments in training, certification, approvals and equipment within the RPAS technologies are resulting in a long-term contract, enabling us to continue our development within this field. We consider this to be an important area for inspection and integrity services in the future, both for onshore and offshore installations.”
