MOLDE, Norway, April 13, 2026 – Axess Group has secured the inclusion of Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing (GWUT) in its existing frame agreement with Equinor, an international energy company.
The scope of work includes the inspection of conductors using GWUT across the Troll and other fields in the North Sea. This follows successful trials at the Troll Field, carried out in close collaboration with Equinor’s representatives.
“At Axess Group, we prioritise the use of innovative and advanced technology for asset integrity management to enhance both efficiency and safety. GWUT is well-suited for harsh conditions and allows us to save significant hours compared to conventional NDT mapping. This additional scope reinforces our role as a trusted partner in ensuring the integrity of critical offshore infrastructure,” Vlad Eide, Department Director – QC & INSI at Axess Group said.
