What was your journey like in Axess?

I started out as a HSSEQC Advisor for Ghana in 2019, and was given an exciting opportunity to take charge of the entire African region in 2021.

In both roles, “Zero Harm” is my priority. My background in ISO Management Systems Auditing allows me to review key processes to ensure that we are compliant with all requirements from internal and external stakeholders. Currently, we are in the process of getting the Angola and Senegal branches certified to ISO 45001, 9001, and 14001 Management System Standards.

Establishing, implementing and maintaining systems that help prevent injuries and poor health while promoting environmental sustainability brings me much joy. I hope to promote a positive safety culture where everyone regards Health and Safety as a way of life and a tool for business growth and profit maximisation.

How is it like being part of a global team?

As a global company, we have the opportunity to connect with a wider team to share diverse experiences and ideas. I like how I am surrounded by colleagues who contribute to a positive Health and Safety culture – It is not something that can be easily found anywhere!

Establishing, implementing and maintaining systems that help prevent injuries and poor health while promoting environmental sustainability brings me much joy.

What is the best thing about working in Axess?

Axess cares for its employees and that is enough motivation to drive excellence. There is an incredible blend of work life and social life here, making it possible for me to do my very best at work on weekdays while having time for my hobbies on weekends. I also enjoy going on hikes with my colleagues.
