Axess Digital secures global contract with Transocean
Axess Digital, a fully owned subsidiary of Axess Group, has signed a global software contract with Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling Inc., a leading international provider of offshore contract drilling services for oil and gas wells.
The global contract will see the implementation of one of Axess Digital’s software solutions, eDROPS, on Transocean’s fleet. The drops management software is a powerful tool that assists with developing effective dropped object prevention strategies, execution of necessary surveys, delivery of quality data audits and coherent reporting for all parties with the ultimate goal of keeping crews safe by eliminating dropped objects.
Transocean specializes in technically demanding sectors of the global offshore drilling business with a particular focus on deepwater and harsh environment drilling services. The company owns or has partial ownership interests in, and operates a fleet of 37 mobile offshore drilling units including 27 ultra-deepwater floaters, and 10 harsh environment floaters.
Implementation on rigs located in Norway has already begun and Axess Digital is looking forward to installing eDROPS on other rigs in the Transocean fleet during this year.
“We are very excited and proud to see that an increasing number of companies are realising the value of our software, which has now hit the energy industry globally,” Goran Soldo, Global Sales Manager of Axess Digital said.
