Sarét enjoys challenging herself to think of innovative solutions to achieve the best possible outcomes. Outside of work, she loves spending time in nature, doing activities such as mountain biking, hiking and running.
What do you find most meaningful about your role?
In 2022, I had the opportunity to become a Project Manager – a role that I was aspiring for since I entered the company two years ago. I believe that having worked my way through support functions enabled me to hit the ground running.
Currently, I manage a number of projects within the rigging and construction spectrum, including installation of bilge spools and cable protection. I find it meaningful that what I do contribute to the success of the project, be it administrative and logistical duties in the past or project management now.
I like that I am trusted to do my job to the best of my ability, achieve targets and make valuable contributions to my team, entity and Group as a whole. I also like the culture of being considerate, not just towards our colleagues but also the environment – we aim to reduce harm caused to the planet while achieving business goals.
Continuous improvement is a value that I live by. What I like about the industry, company and my role, is that there are always new things to learn and improve on.
As I am currently in the role that I was aspiring for, my goal now is to become a champion of Angolan projects as we expand our portfolio.
