Axess UK carries out SPS with a global drilling contractor

Axess North Sea has successfully carried out its first Special Periodic Survey (SPS) on Transocean 712 semi-submersible rig at the Port of Cromarty Firth Invergordon in Scotland, United Kingdom.

The Third-Party Inspection services delivered from February to April 2019 included a range of advanced & conventional inspection methods, covering the platform’s rigs main and auxiliary machineries as well as Ex equipment. This ensures that the asset will operate smoothly and safely with increased uptime in the next five years.

Donna Gray, Axess North Sea Operations Manager, said: “We are pleased to have played a pinnacle role in the successful delivery of this SPS. Over the years, Axess has been a close partner with Transocean and the appointment of our entity in the UK as the main Third-Party Inspection contractor for Transocean 712, in this busy yard stay, is credited to this long track record and proves their trust in our capabilities.”

“We are very proud of our teams that were on the job and their attitude toward safety—completing the job with zero accidents. This is important to our organisation as we cultivate a strong HSE culture and “Everyone Home Safe” philosophy across our operations,” Donna concluded.
